Pinay Postmaster holds world record for women’s masters powerlifting
A Filipino lady powerlifter snatched four gold medals at the 2008 Asian Powerlifting Championships held in Uzbekistan, radio dzBB reported Wednesday.
Erlina “Lily” Pecante, the postmaster of Pasig Central Post Office, also broke the Asian Masters Record in benchpress by lifting 125 kilograms or 275 pounds.
Pecante, 43, was among 12 Filipino powerlifters who competed in the event organized by the Asian Powerlifting Federation.
