Queneerich Rehman is the last Pinay beauty queen to be crowned for 2012 but she’s the first one to compete internationally.
The 23-year old lass from Las Piñas City bested 24 other candidates in the recently concluded Miss World Philippines 2012 held at the Manila Hotel Tent.
She took home one million pesos cash, PhP 100,000 worth of Metro Dental services, a year’s supply of Manny O Wines, luggage from World Travellers and a Hyundai Eon car.
Rehman also won Miss Zenea Body Beautiful, Miss Talent, Miss Photogenic, Miss World Traveller, Miss Beauty and Brains and Miss Philippine Prudential awards.
Come August 16, Rehman will represent the Philippines in the Miss World Pageant which will be held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia with live telecast on TV5.
Miss World remains the only grand slam beauty pageant elusive to Filipina beauty. Gwendolyn Ruais almost won the crown last year, missing the title by just a point. What do you think are Rehman’s chances of winning Miss World?
Take note that among our Grand Slam beauty queens this year, Rehman has the shortest time to prepare. Furthermore, the Miss World pageant is happening in a Chinese territory this year. We don’t know for sure if the political tension between China and the Philippines will affect her chances but nevertheless, Rehman is a very strong contender (just like Ruais) so expect her to be included in various “favorite” lists for the MW crown this year.
