Travelers from all over the region have chosen Boracay Island and Palawan province in the Philippines as two of the best holiday destinations in Asia this year, according to a Web poll by online travel magazine Smart Travel Asia.
4 RP Tourist Spots Vying in the 7 Wonders of Nature Poll
Palawan’s Underground River and Bicol’s Mayon Volcano are now in the Top 10 list in the worldwide search for the new “Seven Wonders of Nature”.
In the beginning of the poll, only 2 sites from the Philippines are contending in the Top 10 namely the Tubbataha Reef in Palawan and the Chocolate Hills in Bohol. Other Philippine tourist spots were outside the Top 77 at that time.
Now, four of them have made it to the Top 10 list as the coclusion of the worldwide search for the “Seven Wonders of Nature” are getting nigh.
2 RP Tourist Spots Compete in New 7 Wonders of Nature
The New7Wonders Foundation, which is behind the The New 7 Wonders of the World (which was announced during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday, July 7, 2007), is now in search for the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Contrary to the 7 Wonders of the World, this one’s about “natural” development meaning it’s not man-made like the Taj Mahal or the Great Wall. It’s about 100% unadulterated, unalienable, unalterable, pure nature goodness.
Guess what? 2 Philippine tourist spots are currently making their mark in the Top 10.
