Itim na Nazareno 2012 (Feast of the Black Nazarene) Update:
A stampede has taken place at the Quirino Grandstand this morning, January 9, where the procession for the Feast of Black Nazarene (Itim na Nazareno) began.
ANC reported that several persons were hurt and rushed to the hospital after the steel railings in front of the Quirino Grandstand fell off.

According to reports, an estimated 8 million Filipinos participated in this year’s Feast of the Black Nazarene or Itim na Nazareno.
